Believe it even if it isn’t real so you can crush your goals

Believe it even if it isnt real

Have you ever wanted something so badly but didn’t know where to start?

Ever wanted to make a change in your life, but the process seemed overwhelming?

What about lost? What do you do when you feel lost?

I’ve had many times where I didn’t know how to get to the end result. I could see it, I could almost taste it.

But it seemed so impossible.

When I have a huge goal, say increasing income, I figure out what it all looks like at the end… the final picture. I set my deadline or accomplished date and work back from there.

The same goes for health goals. I decide what day I will have accomplished my goal and mark it down.

I take the date, work my way backwards to the starting point, and begin at Step 1.

But what do you do when you’ve laid out the plan, worked it all out, and then stare at your scary first step with disbelief? Can you actually accomplish your BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal)?

You have to believe it even when it isn’t real yet.

This is the utmost of important steps for me when I set out to accomplish anything. I say mantras to myself. I speak to myself in a current state. I fall asleep saying my affirmations.

Here’s a great example from the late Muhammad Ali. “I am the Greatest.  I said that even before I knew I was”.

“I am the greatest”. “I am successful”. “I am nourishing my body with healthy foods”. “I am treating myself with kindness because I love myself”.

Even if you have not achieved your bad-ass BHAG, talk it up like it’s happening right now.

There is no judgment on your BHAG… one person’s goal of climbing Mount Everest is as equal to the individual importance of another person’s goal to develop life-long positive habits in order to maintain a healthy weight.

Set the intention, scary as it may seem, and let the process begin.

crush your goals

You know the saying “they’re all talk”?  Well that’s exactly how the conversations to myself goes when I’m manifesting.  I am all talk.

But as we know, all the talk in the world isn’t going to get you anywhere without the action behind it.

Successful people know you have to believe right down to your inner core, and they’re prepared to bust those honey buns to achieve success. They believe down to that little place in the stomach that makes you want to turn tail and run. They believe it no matter how freaking scary is seems.

  • I am successful at ______” means I do the daily tasks that need to be done to get there. No excuses.
  • I am nourishing my body with healthy foods” means I get educated on food, I prep my food. No excuses.
  • I am treating myself with kindness because I love myself” means I tell myself daily in the mirror, that I love me. I make myself a priority in my life. No excuses.

If you want to make your dreams a reality, get clear on what you want. Talk it Up! Set your plan in motion.

No matter how hard or fake it may seem to tell yourself you’ve achieved success already, say it out loud, say it proud. It becomes easier, and eventually, you believe it.

Throw in some pixie dust, or in this case, hustle, and set yourself on your path.  Expect speed bumps, expect detours, expect the unexpected, but never lose sight of why you get up every morning and dive into your goal.

When it feels too hard to go on remember and believe, “I am the greatest”.

I’d love to know what you accomplished.  Something you KNEW was going to happen even if you didn’t know how.

Here’s an example of one of mine. Everyone told me when I started teaching Zumba, I could never fill a Sunday class in our little town. At that time, Sunday was the only day I had with 3 little kids and a retail business. I told myself how big the class was, how many students were in attendance, I even told myself the date the class would be sold out.  I said all of this, and I didn’t even have a registration form created.  I worked my ass off, I got real with every step, and I accomplished it. Because if that success, I was able create the independent classes that I have today.
