Pumpkin Spice Latte Smoothie

It’s the time of year for Pumpkin Spice everything.  Lattes all around!

For some anyway…  As much as I like a good Chia Latte from Starbucks once in a while (everything in moderation), I do not drink coffee and the one time I had a Pumpkin Spice Latte, I had the shakes for a few hours. It was not pleasant.

What I do like are smoothies and making a variety.  So in honour of Pumpkin Spice fever, I have a smoothie recipe with an option for a Latte version.

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie (with Yummy Latte option)

Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup plain canned pumpkin
  • ½ banana
  • ½ teaspoon maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
  • pinch ground nutmeg
  • pinch ground cloves
  • pinch all spice
  • 1-2 scoops of high protein, unflavoured meal replacement powder (optional)
  • ¼ - ½ cup ice (optional)
Instructions
  1. Add everything in a blender until smoothie.
Notes
If you want to create a Latte version, replace the almond milk with cooled coffee. I used cooled loose leaf Chai tea, and it was amazing.

If you need a little more protein in your diet, adding the extra scoop of meal replacement may help to keep you feeling full longer. I personally use Nutrimeal Free by USANA Health Sciences.Pumpkin Spice Latte Smoothie
