Zumba in Park Stony Plain

NEW LOCATION FOR 2017!!!

It’s back! The 5th Anniversary of Stony Plain’s original Zumba® in the Park.

From July 4 – July 25, 2017, join us every Tuesday at 6:30pm.

This year’s location will be at John Paul II (by the Hockey Rink) in Stony Plain (5801 – 48 Street) due to the Rotary Park being under construction.

This annual summer, fun-filled Zumba class supports the Parkland Food Bank.

Let’s pack the park so we can pack the Food Bank!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Participation fee per class is $5/person PLUS a non perishable food donation to the Parkland Food Bank (no expired products please). They are asking for the following: Coffee/Tea, Canned Vegetables, 500 ml of Peanut Butter, Canned Baked Beans, 100% Juice Boxes, Ready-to-eat Canned Soup, Canned Pasta.
  • Children under 12 are free but please bring a food donation if they are participating in class.
  • Arrive early.  Class begins at 6:30pm
  • Sign in is required at each class.
  • No experience necessary… if you have two left feet, and no coordination, you’ll fit right in!
  • Bring bug spray, sun screen, sun glasses, a hat, and water.
  • There is a playground located right by our outdoor dance floor.
  • There is no public washroom on site this year, but there is a convenience store near by.
  • Wear running shoes… no sandals or bare feet.
  • If it rains, class is at Phoenix Taekwon-Do (2nd fl, 4916-50 street, Stony Plain). At our back up location, there is nowhere for children to play.  For safety reasons please do not bring children who are not participating in the full class to our INDOOR location. Children of all ages are welcome at the Park. Space is limited at Phoenix and will be first-come-first-serve.
  • Bring a smile. Make lots of noise and tell all your friends.

Karen is fantastic at using her energy to get everybody smiling and having fun! No matter the skill level, she makes everyone feel they are doing great! The best part of class is you truly feel no one is judging you even if you miss a step! Everyone comes to have fun and a great workout without even realizing you are even exercising.
